New non-stop Dubai–Abu Dhabi bus launched with Dh25 fare
Service runs daily with 50 seats per trip available
DUBAI – Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new intercity bus route providing a direct and affordable service between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The service, operated in collaboration with Capital Express, is designed to offer commuters a faster and more convenient travel option.
The new line, Route E308, runs from Al Quoz Bus Station in Dubai straight to MBZ Bus Station in Abu Dhabi without any stops along the way. This adds another option to existing intercity services which already depart from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
For residents in areas such as Al Barsha and Umm Suqeim, the route offers a more accessible connection to the capital.
How much does it cost?
Each trip is priced at Dh25 per passenger. Payment is simple, with multiple options available including nol cards, contactless bank cards and cash. The buses can carry up to 50 passengers per trip, making them a budget-friendly alternative for frequent commuters as well as visitors.
When do buses run?
The express service operates every three hours throughout the week, ensuring regular connectivity between the two cities. The bright green buses are expected to attract passengers seeking a direct ride without stopovers, cutting down overall travel time.
While buses remain the most economical mode of transport between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the country is also preparing for the launch of Etihad Rail’s passenger service in 2026, which will reduce journey times between the two cities to under an hour. Until then, the new express bus adds extra flexibility for daily travellers.
